Platform No. 7

Platform No. 7

“Rattle of cups and bawl of hawkers,

some look wearied and some look hyper,

crossed fingers, waiting eyes, folded hands,

sometimes lonely and mostly jammed-

my emotions run high as I see Platform No. 7 “

This beautiful view is of a station on the way from Goa to Mumbai. Whenever i am traveling by a train i have a habit of standing at the coach door for long hours, staring, thinking and simply observing. This is my moment to let thoughts sink in. It is more pleasing than sitting inside. When I was a child a story called “The lady on platform No. 3” always amused me because it had a mysterious end. My title of this picture is inspired from the same story 🙂
