The Midnight Flower

midnight flower

“The night falls and silence dawns,

the beauty is nocturnal, it rests in the backdrop of dark,

stays calm, sheds pretension, blooms in the beauty of self “

This picture is from my recent visit to Ahmedabad in Gujarat. I met a long-lost friend after 15 years and she happens is a professor at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM). She took me around the beautiful campus of IIM, which was mesmerizing and there was this subtle charm to the Goliath structure. One of the building passages has a night lamp and right next to the lamp was this tree. This bunch of three flowers was calmly hanging in the light, truly reflecting how people are at night – calm, serene, being self, sans all pretensions.
